VAT RELIEF

VAT Exemption and VAT Relief are two phrases you may have heard a lot when looking at mobility products.

Most of our products have two prices - one with and one without VAT. VAT Relief is available on products specially designed for use by those with a long term medical condition or illness in a personal or domestic setting.

We hope that this guide will offer some explanation of who and when you can claim VAT Relief as well as the process of how to claim VAT Relief at the time of ordering online and in store.

Why Two Prices?

Most of the products on this website have two prices - this means that this product qualifies for VAT relief and can be purchased without paying the VAT.

This status is given to products which are specifically designed to be used to relieve the symptoms of a chronic illness or disability.

Where a single price is shown, the product does not qualify for VAT relief and the price includes VAT.

Am I Eligible?

Where two prices are shown for a product, the lower price (which excludes VAT) is available to those who are chronically sick, disabled or terminally ill. Chronically sick means that you have an illness that is likely to last a long time (such as arthritis, angina, etc). Disabled means substantially and permanently handicapped by illness or injury.

You do not have to be registered disabled to claim relief from VAT, but the nature of your illness or disablement must be specified in your declaration.

Unfortunately you do not qualify if you are elderly but able-bodied or if you are only temporarily disabled or injured.

How do I claim?

Claiming VAT relief is simple and quick. There are no assessments and you do not need to provide medical proof of any disability or condition. You simply need to fill in a quick form either online, in person or through the post.

Online

You will be asked whether you wish to claim relief from VAT during the checkout process. If you do wish to claim you will just need to state the illness or medical condition you are suffering from and tick to confirm that you wish to claim exemption and that the information you have provided is correct. It's that easy!

In Store

When buying an item in store it is just as easy to claim VAT relief as it is online. Our friendly staff will provide you with a simple form to fill out where you simply need to list your condition, name, address and provide a signature. It takes under a minute to fill out and can help save you a lot of money.

By Phone

Once we receive your telephone order, we will send your goods to you along with a VAT declaration form for you to sign and send back to us using the Freepost address provided. Once we have received your signed declaration we will refund you the VAT difference to the same card you paid with.

Details / Omobic Offroad Voyager Fat Wheel with 24 Inch Crazy Bob Tyre

Take your wheelchair beyond everyday terrain with the Omobic Offroad Voyager Fat Wheel, a purpose-built all-terrain rear wheel designed for active users who need superior traction, stability and comfort when standard wheelchair wheels reach their limit.

Developed as a direct replacement for conventional 24 inch rear wheels, the Voyager FAT transforms your chair into a highly capable off-road setup, allowing smoother travel across grass, woodland trails, gravel paths, sand, mud and uneven ground. The oversized low-pressure footprint dramatically improves flotation and grip, helping reduce sink-in while increasing confidence and control on unstable surfaces.

At the centre of the system is the proven 24 inch Schwalbe Crazy Bob FAT tyre, chosen for its wrap-around motocross-inspired tread pattern and high-durability off-road compound. This tyre provides excellent lateral traction, predictable cornering and enhanced sidewall protection for demanding outdoor use. Omobic builds the wheel around a strong 507mm FAT rim, paired with an offset hub configuration that creates additional wheelchair clearance while maintaining proper wheel alignment and responsive handling.

Despite its aggressive terrain capability, the Voyager remains a quick-change daily-use solution, fitting most active wheelchairs with standard 1/2" quick release axle systems for easy installation whenever adventure calls. The integrated black powder-coated pushrim ensures familiar propulsion feel while delivering the strength needed for harsher environments.

Ideal for countryside users, dog walkers, beach paths, rural commutes, festivals, campsites and outdoor sports, the Omobic Voyager Fat Wheel is one of the most effective upgrades available for unlocking true off-road wheelchair independence.

With a 22" wheel rim and a 4 inch wide tyre, the overall diameter remains at 24" keeping the setup of your wheelchair the same, 1/2" quick release axle diameter.

Wheels supplied singularly - does not include axles.
