Single main tube, recumbent style with pivot steering and raked fork for controlled turning and stability. Road crown compensator connects frame and fork. This provides stability when transferring into the handcycle and provides and easy and simple way to compensate for road crown. Adjustable fore/aft seat adjustments, footrest system, crank heights and transfer heights.

High pressure wheels and tires are not interchangeable with knobby or cruiser wheel/tires.

Arm powered. The XLT handcycle propulsion system features an internal gearing system: Shimano Nexus 7 speed hub with reversing drum brake. Mountain drive option works like a transmission to "gear down" for climbing hills adding 7 low gears. Mountain Drive combined with the standard 7 speeds will essentially deliver 14 speeds.
