Who are we?

EPC have been providing specialist equipment for the disabled for nearly 20 years.
  

Equipment for the Physically Challenged (EPC) was established in 1989 by Peter Norfolk MBE.  We are a small family-run business based in Farnborough, Hampshire.  We are fortunate enough to be supported by loyal experienced, enthusiastic and knowledgeable team.  We pride ourselves on sourcing good quality products at reasonable prices, and aim to supply our customers with friendly, expert knowledge and excellent service.  To read more about Peter Norfolk and Wheelchair Tennis, click here.

Meet The Team
Peter Norfolk MBE
Sales

Peter is the founder of EPC.  He is a wheelchair user himself having sustained his spinal cord injury in a motorbike accident when he was 19 years old.

Peter is a highly successful wheelchair tennis player having achieved 2 medals in the Quad division in the Athens Paralympics in 2004- Gold for the singles and Silver for the doubles.  In December 2006, he also received an MBE for services to Disability Sport.

Peter continues to compete in Tennis and convincingly returned to his World No.1 status at the end of 2006.
He is highly committed to providing an excellent service in EPC just like he does in Tennis!

Linda Norfolk MSc MCSP
General Manager

Linda is a Chartered Physiotherapist by profession, and has had a long career in elite sport as a sports specialist, before joining EPC in 2005 as General Manager.  

Linda continues to work as Consultant Physiotherapist to the British Paralympic Association, and heads up the Physio team for the GB delegation at the paralympic games.  She has attended 2 Paralympic games in Sydney and Athens, and is looking forward to being in Beijing too.

Linda regulary lectures on several MSc programmes, and is often invited as a speaker at conferences to share her knowledge on facilitating sports performance for athletes with a disability.

Debbie Larsson AICB (Comp) 
Office Manager

Debbie is our 'Finance Administrator' and handles all of our accounts.  Debbie began with EPC  in 1994 and has done many of the administration jobs in her time here.  She has a wide range of experience, which has developed as EPC has grown.

Lea Morgan
Lead Technician

Lea is our 'Technical Lead' and has been with us since 2003.  Lea deals with all our technical support from setting up new performance chairs, to servicing and repairs, to sorting out our IT challenges.  He is a keen cyclist, and enjoys many other outdoor pursuits (the latest skiing).  He enjoys finding ways to adapt products to enable the active chair user to 'get out there'!

Steve Lewis 
Technician

Steve joined EPC in September 2007.  Steve has worked in the electronics industry for over 10 years and will be putting this to good use servicing and diagnosing our power products.

Hana Payne 
Office Junior
Hana joined EPC in January 2008.  Hana provides support in the office administration area.  Usually the first voice you hear if you call EPC.
