Who are we?
EPC have been providing specialist equipment for the disabled for almost 29 years.
Equipment for the Physically Challenged (EPC) was established in 1989 by Peter Norfolk OBE. We are a sucessful family-run business based in Perranporth, Cornwall, Farnborough, Hampshire and We are fortunate to be supported by loyal experienced, enthusiastic and knowledgeable team. We pride ourselves on sourcing good quality products at reasonable prices, and aim to supply our customers with friendly, expert knowledge and excellent service.

Meet The Team
Peter Norfolk OBE - Partner/Sales
Peter is the founder of EPC. He is a wheelchair user himself having sustained his spinal cord injury in a motorbike accident when he was 19 years old.
Peter is a highly successful wheelchair tennis player having achieved 2 medals in the Quad division in the Athens Paralympics in 2004- Gold for the singles and Silver for the doubles. Peter also won 2 medals in the Beijing Paralympics in 2008, Gold in the Quad singles and Bronze in the Quad doubles.
Peter was privileged to be the Paralympics GB Flag bearer for the London 2012 Paralympics. Again he also achieved a silver medal for the Quad doubles.
In December 2006, he received an MBE and an OBE in 2009 for services to Disability Sport.
Peter continues to compete in Tennis and convincingly returned to his World No.1 status at the end of 2006.
He is highly committed to providing an excellent service in EPC just like he does in Tennis!
Linda Norfolk MSc MCSP - Partner
Linda is a Chartered Physiotherapist by profession, and has had a long career in elite sport as a sports specialist, before joining EPC in 2005 as General Manager. Linda continues to work as a performance consultant in sport. She has represented GB at 2 Paralympic games in Sydney and Athens, and 1 Olympic games in Salt Lake City. Linda lectures on several MSc programmes, and is often invited as a speaker at conferences to share her knowledge on facilitating sports performance for athletes with a disability.
Lea Morgan - General Manager
Lea is our 'Technical Lead' and has been with us since 2003. Lea deals with all our technical support from setting up new performance chairs, to servicing and repairs, to sorting out our IT challenges. He is a keen climber, and enjoys many other outdoor pursuits (the latest skiing). He enjoys finding ways to adapt products to enable the active chair user to 'get out there'!
Nathan Milgate - Sales Manager
Nathan is the Sales manager at EPC, he has developed extensive product knowledge through both personal use, extensive research and technical knowledge. Nathan is also the lead in maintaining & developing the EPC website to ensure we can show the newest products available. Nathan was also heavily involved in the development on Peter Norfolk's website 'The Quadfather' which can be seen here. Outside of EPC Nathan is also a very skilled shooter, representing GB at the Beijing & London Paralympic games. In his discipline he was World No1 in 2012.
Richard Lane - Wheelchair Engineer
Richard began working with EPC in 2009 coming from a background in powered mobility. He has a wide range of skills so diagnosing those tricky problems should be much easier. HE has developed a broad range of knowledge in manual chairs too, so dealing with any technical queries should be much easier.
Andi Zakor - Orders Clerk
Andi comes from a sporting background. Andi has worked with high performance sport for many years as an Athlete, Coach and Performance Manager. She has a keen eye for detail which is extremely important when ordering your brand new bespoke chairs.
Emily Ibbotson - Financial Adminstrator
Trained as a Paediatric Nurse at Great Ormond Street Hospital and worked their in various roles lastly as the resuscitation officer. Also worked at Children's Hospice South West (Little Harbour) with life limited children, where I still do the occasional shift and some of their training. This gives me a fantastic grounding in the needs of children with complex mobility issues. Always done some level of book keeping to work around my own 3 children. Emily's hobbies include camper-van, camper-van, camper-van. Getting away with the kids, wild camping and exploring the country. Keen (being the optimum word as I'm not very good) runner and cyclist.
